About the Board:
The Board’s creation, actions, and powers are defined and governed by our Bylaws.
Currently, in accordance with the Bylaws of the Big Springs Homeowners Association, the Association’s affairs are managed by a Board of Directors (BOD) consisting of seven (7) directors who need not be members of the association or residents of Big Springs. Directors are elected for three (3) year terms at the Big Springs Annual Meeting which is held in October of each year. Applications for board positions are sent to the residents in late September along with the 4th quarter assessment billing.
Nominations for election to the BOD shall also be made at the Big Spirngs Annual Meeting from the floor. Any director may be removed from the Board, with or without cause, by a majority vote of the members of the Association. In the event of death, resignation, or removal of a director, his/her successor shall be selected by majority vote of the remaining members of the BOD and shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term of his/her predecessor. No director shall receive compensation for any service he/she may render to the BSHOA; however, any director may be reimbursed for his actual expenses incurred in the performance of his/her Big Springs duties.
